Reiki (pronounced “ray-key”) is a Japanese touch technique to create relaxation and promote healing. A war and soothing energy flows from the hands of the Practitioner into the client promoting relaxation and stress relief.  This technique is based on the idea that a life force energy flows through us which is unseen.  If our energy is low, we become stressed-sometimes leading to illness.  If our energy is high, we are healthy and energized.

According to the International Center for Reiki Training: Reiki works in conjunction with all medical & therapeutic treatments, aids in relieving side-effects of Surgery, Chemo or radiation therapy and, brings peacefulness for those in transition under hospice care- as well as caregivers. Reiki is beneficial for all ages and all backgrounds, spiritually guided, nondenominational life force energy.  Reiki is NOT a religion. Reiki is holistic- and treats mind, body, spirit and emotions.
